# Export to Word

Download the current draft as a formatted Word document ready for markup.

Every draft can be downloaded as a Word document straight from the editor — whatever you see on screen is what you get in the file, formatting and all. Open the **⋯ (more)** menu in the top-right of the editor and choose **Download**.

## 01What you get

A Word (`.docx`) file. The filename is configured during setup to match how your team already files leases — combining fields like the building, tenant, document type, version, amendment number, and status in whatever order and format fits your filing system — so downloads drop into your existing structure without manual renaming.

## 02Subdocuments download separately

Pieces like the **Legal Description**, **Site Plan**, **Construction Exhibit**, and **Rules and Regulations** have their own Word downloads from the same menu. See [Download a subdocument](/resources/help/demos/download-subdocument) for when and why to pull them out individually.
